A few weeks ago I tried to investigate London’s bike theft epidemic. Then my own bike was stolen. This is what I found 🧵 Full article here: londoncentric.media/p/how-to-catch… The Met police, short on resources, won’t attend even if you know which block of flats contains your stolen bike.

Re the UK's current immigration issues, the utterly toxic failure is primarily because the Tories throughout tried to do John Howard's evil-but-clever con-trick (as also successfully followed by Rudd, Gillard, Rudd, Abbott, Turnbull), but failed because of physical reality. (1/7)

Just insane that planning applications can be scuppered after a consent by these vandals. How many hundreds of thousands of pounds of value and hours of private and public sector time have been destroyed to save a glorified bus stop?

🚨UPDATE: We're delighted that 71 Whitney Drive in Stevenage has just been designated Grade II following C20's listing application, saving the house from a consented demolition. Designed in 1966 by Derrick Shorten as his family home, Shorten was also project architect on the…

A huge amount of the issues this country faces come from not trying to fix it

For years, asylum seekers cost the UK around £450 million to £600 million a year. And then the Tories deliberately stopped processing most asylum applications. What happened next? The backlog of people waiting for a ruling increased. A lot. And costs soared to the Moon.

it is really important to keep in mind the people involved in these riots, if they were all brought together, would not fill a League Two stadium. this is not class war, it is the same coked up thugs doing their stupid business all at the same time rather than one by one

There are thugs on both sides - but this is, among other things, actual class war. That the working-class aren't the way the middle-class Left wanted them to be is no doubt 'appalling' - so I suggest the Left-wing commentariat retire to their fainting couches until it's all over.

It wasn't just that they failed it was that they *deliberately chose* not to process claims on the absurd basis that 100k people could be sent to Rwanda. A decision cheered on by many of those now complaining about the number of asylum seekers in hotels.

Let’s state what should be obvious about the resentment of asylum seekers living in hotels - that this is a product of past government’s total failure to process claims and that successful applicants want nothing more than to work for their living.

Calling people "weird" is such feminine behavior. Textbook sex difference: Men engage in open conflict; women police conformity. It's honestly disorienting to hear male politicians use the line.

Dunno lads this seems bad

Hezza’s first campaign was 1959 and he likes to tell the story of an early visit to a town hall in a no-win seat where the list of mayors in the town hall had a lone Conservative in 1942. Intrigued, he asked what happened that year
