Private Training/Private Coaches get a bad wrap (IMO) due to rogue trainers. Also, some coaches want to be “everything” to their athletes in the building. Both are valid, but there is use for a private coach to help polish athletes in smaller settings. Even the best have teams.


This is why fine tuning your work is so important. Very few get an opportunity to play their sport beyond high school. This is why I constantly talk and stay up to date with coaches at the college/pro levels. It’s more about knowing the baselines than just strength.

In Season: • A - Speed up recovery for the next week • B - Day to reinforce biomechanics and power output • C - Ramp up speed • E - The secret sauce 🤫 This is how we maintained running 18-19mph pre-season, mid, and late season, and it kept guys 'fresh.' Be Legendary ⚡️

Don’t be afraid to sprint even if you’re old & washed like me. You can still make gains. The Workout: • Dynamic Warmup • Lateral shuffle to drive w/ 2 feet out 2x2 (each side) • 3x50 yard max effort sprint 3-5 mins rest between each rep


Technology is great when used correctly and terrible when it's not. Be mindful when posting speed numbers on social media. Make sure the information is accurate. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Be Legendary ⚡️


That's the art of coaching, especially in the private sector. Knowing WHAT is just as important as, if not more important than, WHEN. Athletes only have some much energy in a day use it wisely.

Best way to burn an athlete out? 🛑 High training volumes paired with their already high practice loads. Best way to make training fun? 🙌🏻 Low volumes with the focus on PRing meaningful measures.



One advantage powerlifting & bodybuilding have over S&C is not being overly dependent on tech. There is a thin line between what science says vs reality. Sometimes, in S&C/Performance I think the scale gets tipped too far to science over practice.


Get out of linear only work for athletes outside of T&F! It’s amazing how many athletes are limited with pushing laterally
