Dust bathing, or in this case, sand bathing, elephants do this with mud to protect their sensitive skin from the sun. Sand doesn't really do the trick but I guess sand was cheaper than the elephants' well being. @oregonzoo #Freetheoregonzooelephants #captivitykills
