When elite universities uploaded all of their courses online for public consumption, we collectively realized that the limiting reagent for global intelligence is not access to information, it's motivation.
A high school student asked if he should join a startup or go to university. I said that if he was ambitious he could learn a lot more at a university. The work you do in a startup is severely constrained. If it isn't, the startup is inefficient.
Note to myself: 24 months aren't enough for the planet to understand that a machine learning model can only generate information it was trained on.
