Walking in the office, Lots of moments above the clouds, flying the B747-8 freighter. Some of the more interesting cargo this week.
Climbing at Soho Crag, Hong Kong Island 🧗♀️- Rock Climbing, which I started earlier this year, and now do very regularly, brought me so much fun and more strength, both physical and mental. It confronts me with my fear of heights.
Up before dawn, phone in one hand, checklist soon in the other. Flying gives me freedom, but it doesn’t fill the quiet nights in empty hotel rooms. Meeting someone genuine feels rarer than a smooth landing in turbulence—but I’m still hoping for it.
Happy monday! Back to that flying life just returned to Hong Kong after an almost 16 hour flight from New York. That's a long flight indeed! The crew consisted of 4 pilots. We worked in 4 shifts (alternating between operating and resting for several hours), and we saw sunrise.
