2024 was a busy year for us as more people needed our support but there were a lot of positive outcomes too! We appreciate staff, volunteers, trustees, partner services, donors, supporters & funders who helped us throughout the year! 🙏💛 #2024Review #Homelessness #Peterborough

During November, 55 people were supported by @PeterboroughCC's Rough Sleeper Outreach Team and our Project Workers to move off the streets and into accommodation. 18 of these were part of SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) due to the cold and wet weather. #Homelessness

Our Street Chaplains were out in the city centre again this morning to give out Christmas Hearts - even Santa and Paddington Bear received a heart! There were many smiles on recipient's faces with one woman saying "That's really brightened up my day, thank you!" 😃💛

Yesterday, Paddy (our Services Manager) led a talk at the Yaxley WI. He spoke about all the projects that we provide across the city and answered many questions that were asked. We received a donation of £50 from the group afterwards. It was lovely to meet all the WI ladies! 😀🙏

A big thank you to Sharron, the Tesco Community Champion at Serpentine Green, who arranged a donation of food, coats and other treats for our Garden House guests who have dogs. 🐶 Having a dog gives those who are homeless comfort, a friend & joy in what is a difficult situation.

Phil was someone we supported at the Garden House when he was experiencing #homelessness. He has since got himself back on his feet and has come back to be a Homeless Health Peer Advocate.

We're delighted to have received over 1,000 handmade hearts for our Christmas campaign. Thank you to everyone who got involved. These will be given out by our Street Chaplains this month. They serve as a gentle reminder that people aren't alone & there is support for all.

On Thursday 19th March, you have the unique opportunity to spend a night in @pborocathedral to raise money to help those homeless and in need within Peterborough. Tickets cost £20 plus a small booking fee. More information can be found on our website: lightprojectpeterborough.org.uk/anightinthenav…

In October, 44 people came to the Garden House for the first to receive support in their #homelessness journey. This takes the total to 283 new homeless presentations since April 25. Thank you to everyone who provides us funding, time, clothing & food to help those in need. 💛

Rachel, our Administrator, has made some amazing Christmas Hearts for our campaign. Her robin design is particularly beautiful. ☺️ Thank you to everyone else who has contributed with their crafted hearts so far. We are looking forward to handing them out very soon!

Corinne is one of our Garden House weekend volunteers and she brings her dog Lady to bring smiles and comfort to our guests during the sessions. In recent weeks, Lady has been spreading awareness of LPP by wearing one of our branded tops! 🐶🐾 Looking good Lady! ☺️
