This statement from Liz Kendall confirms that LHA will not increase in 2025/26 and it sounds like it won't be revisited at the Spending Review in the Spring. This actively costs poorer private renters, and will work against the govts goals to end homelessness and food bank use.

🚨 BREAKING: The Household Support Fund has been extended! This extension will provide some relief to families on the lowest incomes this winter. People have told us that this support has meant that they can pay for energy bills, transport or buy essentials, like bedding.
We expected this but rising energy bills will pile more pressure on families already facing hunger, hardship & debt. And on foodbanks already at breaking point. Government must use their first Budget to protect those facing the worst hardship. We need urgent action.
