You probably knew that @UW_Football is ranked 5th nationally, but @CWUFB has stepped into 24th on the Division II Coaches poll and @WhitworthFB is unofficially 26th on the Division III Coaches poll. (The poll only goes to 25 but the Pirates have the next most votes.) Very cool.
Imagine all the state's college football teams jostling for position in the same league. Yes, of course they have vastly different opponents in their own conferences, but we'll pretend for fun. Here are the *virtual* standings going into today's games. Still two undefeated teams!

Asotin County, Washington's southeastern corner, was organized 140 years ago today. The territorial legislature created it with land carved from from neighboring Garfield County. Asotin is the county seat and Clarkston is its largest city.
