"I hate being nostalgic for things I've never actually experienced. Like, stuff I've read in books or seen in movies. 'Cause how do you stop missing something you never actually did or had?"

"Yeah, it's kinda interesting. But it's not something you can casually put on in the background." She'd tried that, and she ended up having to watch the whole episode over again.
"Oh! So there's this super secret laboratory and she was like, a secret experiment. But she manages to get out and help the boys that are looking for their missing friend. She's really cool."
"It takes place in a small town in the 80's. Some weird shit happens a kid goes missing, so all these teenagers go looking for him see paranormal weirdness." She pauses, twisting her ring around her finger. "I'm not explaining it very well, but yeah."
"Oh, yeah, it's pretty good. Some people like, really /love/ it. I kinda don't get why it's so hyped up, but I like it overall." She shrugs at that. She's seen weirder things in real life, so there's also probably that to consider.
"Sitcoms, usually. The older ones like Friends and How I Met Your Mother. But when I get tired of that, I watch newer stuff too. And I'm really into sci-fi." She hums as she pulls the pendant of her necklace along its chain.
"Oh, I don't really have a /thing/. Not unless you count Netflix and being stressed." She laughs a little sheepishly as she shakes her head.
“Me? Uhhh, I dunno. What do you wanna know?” She gently leans a cheek against her hand as she smiles at him.
Humming softly, Elaine taps her fingertips against the edge of the table. Then she gets up and moves to sit across from Jamie, bringing her coffee and backpack with her. "So, tell me about yourself, Jamie. I know you're blind and you like music. What else?"
"Oh, cool." She nods, running a hand through her hair. "Best friends are great." She doesn't actually know what that's like, honestly.

"Right, I know. I just wasn't sure what you meant by 'handler.'" She shrugs, taking another sip of her coffee.
