The many armed police at the Highland Park 4th of July parade were unable to stop a mass shooter from killing peaceful parade-goers. The. Problem. Is. The. Fucking. Guns. They’re weapons of war, and they’re too easy to obtain. Period.
A mass shooting at a 4th of July parade pretty much sums up where this country is at right now. Nothing to celebrate and tragedy after tragedy.

I’m just curious why it’s age appropriate for kids k-5 to learn about hiding under desks and not that sometimes people have two dads.
An 11-year-old who survived the school shooting in Texas went into survival mode and put someone's blood on herself to pretend she was dead. The classmate next to her died and then saved her life. This is the kind of trauma you hear from an active war zone, not a 4th grade class.
