Heckuva sunrise in #Pittsburgh this morning. I've spent all week on the West End Overlook for sunrise so decided to head down to the bridge this morning and it worked out perfectly. Color was so vibrant against the silhouette of the city.

For a short time twice a year the sun rises directly behind #Pittsburgh and PPG Place from the West End Overlook, and this morning I went there to capture it. It's like the yinzer version of Barad-dûr, except, ya know, without all of the evil and bad stuff.

One of my favorite compositions that only comes around a few weeks a year in #Pittsburgh is one of the sun rising through the opening of the Smithfield Street Bridge. With clear skies and a silhouette of the bridge, the scene has the perfect black and gold look to it.
Millennials really need to stop bagging on Boomers for having so many Precious Moments figurines or whatever because I know almost all of us have a fucking ROOM full of old cables we are simply emotionally incapable of throwing away. Also, Precious Moments are fragile Funkos.
