.@gruber Did you see "managed open in" on the iOS7 business page? Sounds like custom default apps are there, maybe restricted for now.
.@gruber Users don't care whether an app is native. They just want great UX. The best apps are just the ones made with the platform in mind.

Given the reaction to #iOS6maps, there is no chance they would reject a Google Maps iOS app. The backlash would be unmanageable.
#iOS6 maps are sourced from several companies. If coverage is bad somewhere, Apple could change providers.
