Full-stack Developer rambling at 3am

After a few days digging a bit into TypeScript, I'm about to start the Bootdev (@wagslane ) Hackathon for my first project with it. Surely there is nothing that could go wrong, right?
That feeling when you completely nuke your WSL install by sacrificing your bin folder to the altar of sudo typos 😅
Happy new year! With the holidays, I'm trying to make the push and work on my projects and exercise. I wasn't able to work as much when balancing studying, but I'm happy to start the year on a good note.
I'm currently trying to create a new project using stock Rails 8 and create some momentum in my learning. After spending some time getting back to coding, and also catching up with Laravel, I'll do my best to build up a consistent routine.
AI tools and ecosystems feel kinda overwhelming for new developer. Is like just learning to surf and seeing a massive wave ahead. It is exciting to be in the beginning of what feels like a revolutionary technology, but the pressure to ride the wave is huge.
Been a while since I've been here! I'll do my best to be more active here, as well as return to coding a lot more. I've been doing great so far at work, and I've had time to recalibrate after studying and being sick for a few months. Let's see how it goes 😅
It's been a while! I took some time off from here, but for a good reason! After months of learning and job-searching, I'm happy to join @storyblok as a Technical Support Engineer! I've been cramming the documentation and tutorials for a while, and I'm eager to learn more 😄
I've wanted to dive deep into building new things for a while, but I'm a bit nervous, weirdly. I'll do my best to return to coding tomorrow.
It has been quite a long time since I was here! I've been applying for jobs for the past few weeks, but it has been quite taxing taking care of applications, personal projects, preparing for interviews and networking. The hustle is real.
As of #Day17, I took a bit of time to review some React fundamentals. I created a React project with no create-react-app, no jsx, and just bare bones. I also used Parcel instead of Webpack #100DaysOfCode
After a few days of being sick, I'm back to #100DaysOfCode! I took #Day16 for planning the features for my new portfolio and working on more Leetcode.
Mostly done with #Day15 of #100DaysOfCode! Along with solving (AKA trying) Leetcode problems, building my new portfolio, and job searching, I started to read Grokking algorithms to build up my fundamentals with solid theory. Funny how after graduating I'm even busier.
After a few days of rest and illness, I'm back with #100DaysOfCode with #Day14! I'm still working on my algorithms and data structure fundamentals by solving Leetcode problems in JS and Ruby. To refresh memory, I also added Python to the list. It has been a while.
#Day13 of #100DaysOfCode didn't have that much code, but I got the results of many months of hard work with talented developers from across the globe. Wouldn't have been able to do it without @mane_ux, who was there for me from day 1 scl.io/TJUcM6L via @microverseinc
#Day12 of #100DaysOfCode was the final presentation for the project my team has worked on for 3 weeks! Luckily the presentation went well and our final capstone for @microverseinc was approved. It was tough for me at times, but overall it was a great experience.
#Day11 of #100DaysOfCode, the last before our team presentation! We huddled together for the last hurrah to finish the site. I was there mostly for API questions, so I wasn't as active as I would have wanted. I also left some features I wanted for next time. Oh well.
A poignant reminder of keeping the #100DaysOfCode journey daily is that your memory can play tricks on your timeline. I managed to switch #Day11 and 9 even when having a day between them. So in this case, I missed a day that I took mostly off and only worked on Leetcode.
#Day10 of #100DaysOfCode was about revisiting the API and working on the tests. There were some changes in the project and after we included the API documentation, they were not working as intended. We made some progress, but there were some left stranding 😅
#Day09 of #100DaysOfCode was finally finishing the API for our group project. I spent a couple of days stuck in the main controller of the app, probably because I was anxious. I managed to do a simple change in the migrations and after that everything was smooth sailing.
It has been a long week! Once again, I'll do the recap of shame of what I've been doing so far.
