It’s basically for culture-less people who want to say they’ve travelled. They marketed it well through influencers over the last ten years but everyone I know who’s been (who’s actually well travelled) says it’s totally soulless
I’ve never been there and I don’t want to go either. It’s all that unnecessary luxury mixed with radical Islam, people exploitation, slavery, no human rights, etc. I lived in a Muslim majority country for 13 years and there’s a reason why I left it. Dubai has the same issues.
Totally agree! Wouldn’t go if you paid me. The suffering and poverty behind the facade would bother me too much to enjoy the “luxury” 🤢😡
