Many job ads ask for 'recent experience' which arguably discriminates against women, who are more likely to take time out of work due to maternity leave/caring responsibilities, and/or disabled people, who are more likely to have recent gap in CV due to an accident or illness.
One of the (many) reasons I adore @JoFundraising is the way she communicates in such an honest, real & unequivocal way... “A revolution is needed. We need to unlearn what’s considered normal recruitment practice, because to be perfectly honest, it is shit.” 🔥😍🔥

Researching for a @managersmeetups blog on recruitment, from a random sample of 5 #fundraiser JDs on @CharityJob paying £24-27k the roles require an ave of 23 attributes/skills/experience. 79% considered 'essential'. WHY? Stop searching for that mythical perfect fundraiser 😩
