Any trial or challenge that makes you to turn very close to your Lord is indeed a good sign that relief is near. On the contrary, there is no worst challenge or trial like the one that turns you farther away from Allah. You’ll keep suffering and complaining and result won’t come.

I've never seen Allah fail someone who truly leaned on Him. It might take time, and it might not make sense, but Allah always shows up. May Allah show up for us all when we need Him the most.
