Past returns are not a guarantee of future performance, this is true. But that includes both the returns from yesterday and all the other returns, to be fair. And LLP holders will be compensated as well.
You are free to deposit elsewhere - and, unlike other "vaults", LLP has no lockup. But it is still up 220% YTD
LLP being down 5% after being up 237% for the year is a better tradeoff for the ecosystem vs. lots of traders losing their entire account's worth.
