Sustainability is important. Obviously. But if we're going to truly move away from a Fast Fashion world. We need to talk about the real trade-offs. Join us this Thursday for a Wine Happy Hour to discuss - especially if you work in the fashion industry! Sign up at link in bio

IDK if this counts as a reverse HIPAA violation but... Last week, I got unsolicited advice from my doctor about my career choices - how I should have been a lawyer. Thanks for the advice, but you're obviously not the first to say this and more importantly, I really didn't ask.

Hosted at Unmuted Member Mark Carlson's abode. This is an important topic, and one that needs more conversations and less blind activism. Comment "policy" and I'll DM you a link.

Thoughtful post shared with me from the FP by my friend Jane Zhang. I have always wrestled with my pursuit of "a calling", a reason for being beyond eating and drinking. But sometimes I do wonder if I'm missing the things that really matter. #ambition #age #family #friends #life

Everyone says they want authenticity. But in practice? Most companies choose lawyers over honesty. UHG - a comms team could’ve saved millions by just telling the truth. Instead, layers of legal review and corporate hedging made things worse. #wsj #uhg #tellthetruth

TFW you're reading a 10K with phrases like "highest quality," "lowest cost," "best-in-class," blah blah blah and you know its BS. The stated vs reality dissonance is infuriating.

Didn’t make the HIMSS keynote this year, but disappointed based on this summary of it - very reactive view from Dowling (Northwell CEO), not inspiring to say we NOW care about tech, healthcare workers, and health equity healthcarefinancenews.com/news/how-creat…

Stop requiring 5+ years of healthcare experience for junior roles. Find a hard worker who learns quickly. They are the ones who grow up to challenge the status quo anyways.

My first company @twitch sold for a billion dollars. My second one lost $75 million in 36 months. People love talking about success, but today I'm going to talk about failure. It's time to be honest about Atrium:

Stop tweeting, “GET VACCINATED” into your tech echo chamber. Go volunteer at your local community health center or have private 1-on-1 convos with hesitant family / friends.

It's amazing to me how many healthcare ancillary service companies exist that are huge but are totally under the radar in media coverage.

Administrative burden is a major pain point in US healthcare (duh). Standardizing contracts across payors would significantly reduce admin burden, without adding the complexity of payment rules of a single payor system. Interesting study. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

TIL the Vatican has a positive impact accelerator. I don't even know what to say about that. Damn

Is this the first instance yet of the Biden admin SUPPORTING a Trump admin rule? Says a lot about the general public's feeling on the price of healthcare. #Biden #HHS #pricetransparency modernhealthcare.com/policy/biden-e…
