Life’s very frustrating oxymoron: CONSTANT CHANGE. 5 Certainties: 1. Jesus never changes. Heb13:8 2. He WILL complete the good work He started in you. Phil1:6 3. He WILL fulfill His purpose for you. Ps138:8 4. He WILL NEVER leave you. Heb13:5 5. He WILL NEVER mislead you. Ps32:8

The letters came from a man named George Walker. But 7-year-old Timothy didn't know that was a pseudonym for the former President of the United States @GeorgeHWBush. @compassion lets go of a secret they've kept for almost 2 decades. #9News

There are no accidents in the Christian’s life. God doesn’t take His hand off the wheel of your life for a nanosecond. What appear to be “random crazy acts,” God says fall within His purview. bit.ly/Jonisdailydevo

Take a deep breath, fuel back up and get back in there and love again. In Christ’s name. In Christ’s grace. In Christ’s power. This ain’t no fairy tale. This is war and the devil wants our hearts.

The chains of our addiction to approval and affirmation are so gripping, so thoroughly ironclad, they often take crushing to break. The addiction has to betray us & burn us so we will hate it enough to let it go. But on the other side is a truth that sets us free: no man is God.

I don’t think of #WinterSoltice as darkness. I think of it as a climb into a cocoon, a seasonal time to gather ourselves inside and tell the stories of who we are. And one day, we will step out again, refilled.

It's the shortest day of the year. It is the darkest day. In the tiniest of increments, we start getting more light tomorrow, friends. And there is so much hope in that to me. Tomorrow, there will be more light.

I love this: the Holy Spirit interrupts Peter's sermon mid-sentence by falling on the group. God ain't gotta wait for no altar call to fall.
