Hey #Java folks, serious question: What are the points to create a web service with Java in 2022? In the past I worked a lot with go and nodejs which is from my pov more productive and not so "heavy". Anyway many people in my surrounding swear on it. Any thoughts on that?


For private project I have to create some ui components which require simple javascript logic. Instead of writing plain javascript code I have looked for an easier solution and found Alpine.js. Look how easy the logic for a modal/popover can be created:
