Exactly. It was never Sal who was doing the clickbait. Listen for any length of time and it’s clear how good he is
unfortunately all the WFAN clips had to only use clickbait titles and 30 second rants to grab attention, a lot of which made Sal look bad but we’ve see him on the SNY panel we know he’s just passionate mets fan like the rest of us and a good dude
I’ve known a lot of sports talk radio hosts. Sal Licata is one of the few who is open-minded to reporting, will reconsider opinions, and can laugh at himself. Without him on middays, NY sports talk will be less informed. So much more to him than the social clips WFAN puts out.
This does not take the Mets out of the market for Edwin Diaz. It doesn't mean they’ll def sign him, but they’re still in.
