The sum of two sides of a triangle must always be greater then the other side.

When two lines intersect, they have one point (one solution) in common. They have different slopes.

The associative property always has parentheses, same numbers, and same order-only the parentheses (grouping) moves.

When solving an inequality, you change direction of the inequality sign if you divide by a negative.

The discriminant tells the number of real solutions a quadratic equation has. Formula is b squared minus 4ac.

None of the three sides of a scalene triangle have the same length. They are not congruent.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. 3 and 17 are prime numbers. Their only factors (the only numbers you multiply to get them) are themselves and 1.

The slope is the rate of change. /positive \negative -zero slope or l undefined.

You get Pi by dividing the circumference of a circle by its diameter. Pi is never ending. It is an irrational number.

The longest side of a triangle is always opposite the biggest angle. The smallest side is opposite the smallest angle.

The GCF (greatest common factor) can be a number, a variable or both.

The diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular. They form right angles which measure 90 degrees.

The sum of the interior angles of all triangles equal 180.

Vertical angles are congruent. They make an X.

The formula for percent of change is bigger number minus the smaller number divided by the original number.

A horizontal line --------- has a slope of zero. A vertical line l has an undefined or no slope.

A parabola can be positive - looks like a U or negative - an upside down capital U.

A parabola is U shaped. It can have no solution, one solution or two solutions depending on how many times it intersects the x- axis.

The first step in factoring is always taking out the GCF - if there is one - and doing the distributive property backwards.
