I have released an initial version of brycharts (github.com/andy31lewis/br…), a Brython library for adding statistical charts (pie charts, scattergraphs, histograms etc) to webpages with just a few lines of code. See demo at andy31lewis.github.io/brycharts/demo…
One more interactive puzzle; this will be the last (for the moment at least). This one is easy once you see it, but can seem impossible until that "Aha!" moment. mathsanswers.org.uk/games/puzzles/… #mathschat #edutwitter #mathpuzzle
Another interactive "circle" puzzle, this time involving the characteristics of some animals. Since it only uses a subset of the 27 possible animals, I might add a "New puzzle" button, to start with a different subset. mathsanswers.org.uk/games/puzzles/… #mathschat #edutwitter #mathpuzzle
Here's another interactive mathematical puzzle, involving squares and primes. Unlike the last one which was from 1725, this one is original to me as far as I know. mathsanswers.org.uk/games/puzzles/… #mathschat #edutwitter #mathpuzzle
I have released version 0.5.0 of brySVG, a library for building SVG apps using #brython (python for webpages). github.com/andy31lewis/br… New features include support for SVG <use>, <defs> and <image> elements. An example of a page using brySVG: mathsanswers.org.uk/investigations… #brySVG
Here's an interactive version of a classic puzzle (first published in 1725 apparently). mathsanswers.org.uk/games/playingc… #mathschat #edutwitter #mathpuzzle
It has taken some time to draw all the graphs, but I have now completed answer sheets for all worksheets in the remaining KS4 Algebra topics (quadratic, cubic, trig graphs etc etc). Only 12 KS4 topics to go, then all of KS3&4 answer sheets will be complete. #mathschat #edutwitter
Time for a bit of fun with some more puzzles... Here are 10 interactive tetromino puzzles, starting easy and getting a bit trickier: mathsanswers.org.uk/investigations… Pentominoes and hexominoes will follow! #mathschat #edutwitter
Almost all the worksheets on the website are in this "editable pdf" format, so that they can easily be used "as is", but can also be edited to suit individual needs if desired. 2/2 mathsanswers.org.uk/gcse libreoffice.org #mathschat #edutwitter
I really like the "editable pdf" documents which can be created with LibreOffice or OpenOffice. Opened normally, they give the portability of pdf; but if opened in LO or OO they can be edited in their original form (document, spreadsheet, drawing...) 1/2 #edutwitter #mathschat
I've added a worksheet on Angles in Circles. Starts easy, and moves on to multi-step questions. #mathschat #edutwitter mathsanswers.org.uk/gcse/TopicList…
I'm still tweaking the material in the KS3 and KS4 section of the website. I have now rearranged the worksheets in each topic into ascending order of difficulty. #mathschat #edutwitter mathsanswers.org.uk/gcse/
