❗New deadline for the #NeurIPS2022 workshop❗ "Symbiosis of Deep Learning and Differential Equations": October 1st. Website: dlde-2022.github.io. Send us your work on neural differential equations, learnable numerical methods, continuous-time diffusion and more!
Join us for the second edition of the #NeurIPS2022 workshop "The Symbiosis of Deep Learning and Differential Equations"🌀 We're looking for your AI <> DE ideas: neural diff. eqs., neural operators, diffusion models and novel applications! website: dlde-2022.github.io
At least the reviewer was honest about their intentions. Kinda burying the lede here though: reading 50% of a submission should be disqualifying for reviewing a paper.
Hello, High school teachers! Ignore this nonsense tweet. Lots of people in science would love to speak to your students. Just because this person doesn't understand their job doesn't mean you aren't doing yours well. Keep up the good work.
Hello, High School teachers! I know you think you're "challenging your students" by having them contact an astronomy/astrophysics/space professional as part of the assignment, but I see you outsourcing your jobs to us. You, and your students, outnumber us greatly. (1/2)
Higher workload = less time for students. Our faculty members have one of the highest workloads in the country. Let’s bring faculty workloads in line with other universities! #WorkingConditionsAreLearningConditions #ONstrikeU @drstevenmurphy @ontariotech_u
OT's strike FAQs say: it's false that our university has the 2nd-worst student/prof ratio in our category and OT ranks 11th in 2021 Maclean’s report. ACTUALLY, OT’s student/prof ratio ranks 19th out of 19 in that report. (The university’s overall ranking is 11.) #OTfactchecker
Why is the university admin dragging out the #ONStrikeU? @UOITFA wants to end the strike, does @ontariotech_u? Where is the leadership? @DrStevenMurphy, @lorilivingsto17 Instruct your team to get #BacktotheTable, #BargainForReal, and #GetUsBackInTheClassroom.
Join us Dec 14th (EST time) for the NeurIPS workshop "The Symbiosis of Deep Learning and Differential Equations": dl-de.github.io This is also your chance to submit questions to our great lineup of panelists, via: forms.gle/6seK279g4AxpeM…
The #NeurIPS2021 workshop on Deep-Learning-meets-Differential-Equations is coming up! (14th)⚡️ For the panel discussion (on solving DEs with DL), submit questions in advance: forms.gle/j37v5zmck1k1ps… Note the schedule: accessible from around the world, not just US timezone!⏰️
Excited about the upcoming WS "Deep Learning and Partial Differential Equations" at the Isaac Newton Institute, see newton.ac.uk/event/mdlw03/, organised jointly with Weinan E, Arnulf Jentzen and @GittaKutyniok . At the link above you also find streaming information.
Pls help spread the word. I'm recruiting grad students @UofTCompSci & @UofTMathDept. Join our active lab working on all aspects of geometry processing: physics simulation, ML for 2D & 3D, tools for creativity, numerical methods, & ooey-gooey mesh stuff 🧵
Very excited to announce our #NeurIPS2021 paper! **Efficient and Accurate Gradients for Neural SDEs** Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2105.13493 Example: github.com/google-researc… IMO this is the best paper I've ever written. A thread: 1/n 🧵
Deadline in 3 days! A great place to advertise upcoming (or recently published) work on the broad "deep learning meets differential equations". Neural differential equations, PINNs, system identification (SINDy and friends), neural PDE solvers, topics in control theory etc.
Reminder that 'The Symbiosis of Deep Learning and Differential Equations' #NeurIPS2021 workshop deadline isn't too far away! Deadline: September 17th [10 days away] Website: dl-de.github.io OpenReview: openreview.net/group?id=NeurI… (w/ track for advertising published papers!)

Which is why the best preparation for a PhD in ML/AI is not necessarily CS but electrical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics.
Random AI thought of the day: the ML boom has suddenly put continuous maths centre stage in comp sci departments. When I was a student the curriculum was dominated by discrete math - sets, logic, etc. Fascinating to see the pendulum swing the other way…
