@matlab10

As the assignment says, you must upload all assignments to submit.ac.uk direct, the link is not available on ULearn.

Indeed, for task 3 also you can't use a nested loop.

Many are asking about nested loops for task 4. The assignment says use just one for loop, so therefore it is not nested.

via @seiphr: Ulearn upload links are not up for the matlab assignments...can someone fix this soon!

In MATLAB there are many ways you can analyse the level of the noise signal - Why not try >> help std

Useful example of a script - leastsq.m in task 2, just run >>leastsq and you have run a script!

Ulearn is a pain, if you download file NoiseBitsGen.m then it will download as noisebitsgen.m, so you need to rename it to be case sensetive

Hint, for task 3 you will need to write a script and in it you will find using the plot function will help you do your task.

Difference between a script and function, see: http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/matlab_prog/f7-38085.html

Some identified minor typo errors in task 3 have now been corrected and are uploaded to Ulearn. Thus look at that copy online.

See here for more on scripts: http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/ref/script.html

In task 2 onwards you are asked to write a SCRIPT. A script is just like running a batch file, where you can write your commands in.

A function, e.g. rotate3, is to pass variables to.

Please note the difference between scripts and functions in MATLAB

@smawllie Have you tried using it on the learning tutorials with vectors and matrices?

Twitter search is on the blink again, some tweets lost in volcano ash. But You can see all tweets if you look at your profile.

@matlab10 *** Please note that some minor typos were found in task 1b of the assignment today and an updated assignment is now uploaded ***

Twitter is behaving strangely. It won't make all matlab10 tweets public.

Tweetgrid isn't showing all the tweets today

@devdev13 @matlab10 And why not try printf('this is a tweet\n')
