ESPN's @KirkHerbstreit TOLD YOU GUYS what would happen roughly 12 hours before @jordantrav13 broke his leg. This had NOTHING to do with an injury. ESPN was NOT leaving the SEC out. to do with an injury. It had EVERYTHING to do with the SEC NOT getting LEFT OUT.
Anyone saying anything else happened within the committee is lying to themselves. And they did this in a down year for the SEC. No excuse.
If UGA had beaten Alabama, the order would’ve been: 1. UGA 2. Michigan 3. Washington 4. FSU But they HAD to have an SEC team at all costs. Had to. Well, you can’t put in Bama and leave out the team that beat them by two scores. So, you use Travis injury as an excuse.
Honestly, I'd love a system where Liberty got a chance. But saying "would FSU beat any of those teams..." My answer is, yeah, there's a real chance. Is it a 100% chance? No. Is it 50/50? Maybe not. But it's not zero and anyone pretending they KNOW what would happen is lying.
