What many sw engineers don't realize: The majority of jobs do not hire you to write the highest quality code or produce the cleanest architecture. They hire you to solve their business problems very efficiently. Sometimes this means high-quality code. Sometimes not at all.
Looks like Citadel is flailing...Maybe they should have stayed off Twitter or better yet maybe its a good time to have start conversation. I would love to discuss with Ken Griffin and/or @vladtenev - seriously time to put all cards on table.

This from Paul Graham, the co-founder of Y Combinator (among many other things), resonates massively with me. From my own experience seeing someone introduce ‘process’ into an early stage startup, it ended up a car crash... and it was pushed by a very highly paid ‘advisor’ 🤦♂️
Founders: Stay like this for as long as you can, because this is what every good programmer wants. Resist the people who want to add "process" to the way you do things. They will only tell you about the benefits, and not the costs.
