This seems quite shortsighted - one of the points of SMRs is that they are deployable in non-conventional nuclear sites, meaning that there is not reason why a conventionally-sized plant can't be built in this prime location.

Three small modular reactors will be built by Rolls-Royce at Wylfa, the site of a previous nuclear power station thetimes.com/uk/environment…

A case study in the unattended implications of widely-available AI tools, in this case with the potential for streamlining & gumming up the planning process. The 'need' for this tool is yet another indicator that the process is just too complex.

The Government want to restrict the right to trial by jury claiming backlogs in the Crown Court system, but at the same time they choose to leave *21%* of Crown Court capacity simply unused. Unreal.

📈Today, 7 August 2025, 110 out of the 516 Crown courtrooms in England & Wales will not be sitting. That's 21% of them. #courtstats #CS07082025 courtstats.co.uk

Man goes to one affluent, touristic cathedral 'city' - claims UK fine. I am sure the rest of the conurbation could tell something of a different, more difficult story.
