I’ve paused my #100DaysOfCode for #Python to take more data eng / sci focused courses on DataCamp. I love all things Data Eng and would like to move in that direction Goal for now is to finish 1 course per week and push a “project” at EOW to my GitHub account. #DataEngineering

Kind of shifting my focus from #100DaysOfCode to #DataEngineering. Working on the Data Eng career path course on @DataCamp and reading a book on data eng w/ #Python as well. Would love any recommendations on good resources / informative Twitter ppl in the field! #data #engineer

Day 73. Worked more with pandas / csvs / data frames. Focused on aggregation / merging data frames. Loved it. #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 72. Focused on pandas / matplotlib to visualize data. I really enjoying cleaning / transforming large data sets with a few lines of code. Part of my role involves automating data ingestion jobs so it’s nice to relearn the basics of Python / pandas. #100DaysOfCode #Python

Day 71 (skipped day 70 - will come back to it - involved deploying my sql database and my wifi is awful rn). Focused on the basics of pandas. I use pandas a bit with my job and love working with it to automate tasks, clean data, and streamline jobs #Python #100DaysOfCode

Side project - #100DaysOfCode. Took a csv with NBA data by season since 1980. Created a relational DB with tables such as: TeamS, players (single row for each player w/ college, country, age when drafted info), season data (row w/ player stats for each SZN since 1980) #Python

Day 69. Worked on completing an entire flask blog project. Full honesty, it was a super frustrating day. I got stuck on some of the specific login / authentication issues. I did enjoy seeing the back end of relational databases though. #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 68. Built a flask application that actually incorporated users registering / logging in / and actual authentication. Touched on hash / password security. Looked at solutions more than I would have liked to but it was an interesting lesson none the less #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 67. Great day. Built a blog (that connected / stored data in an SQL Database using Flask SQL-Alchemy). Blog had methods that allowed the admin to delete, edit, and create blog posts. I love working with SQL databases / seeing the creation of them #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 66. Built my own (very simple) API (connected to a cafe database) Loved actually seeing the other end of APIs and being in the building side. The API was simple and had only a few post/ get / patch / delete requests but I really enjoyed building it. #Python #100DaysOfCode

Finished Day 64! Built a website for users to add their favorite movies with rankings / reviews / images/etc. Cool features: - it connects to a movie db API so users can look up a film and easily add it to their list - data is stored in a sql database #Python #100DaysOfCode

Are there any good Python tests / quizzes that gauge the skill level of a person? I know W3 had a few but I was wondering if anyone had recommendations here. Thanks #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 63. Wrapped up a flask website /project that allows users to add books they’ve read (data is pushed to a SQL database. Users can delete books / modify ratings. I work as an analyst now so it’s cool to dive into the backend from the ground up. #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 62. Worked on a website where users have the ability to add fake cafes and the site updates to show those cafes + general information in an attractive bootstrap template. Super excited about working with SQLite/ Databases tomorrow! #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 61. Built advanced forms with WTF-Forms. Super cool to see how little code is needed to create powerful website components / forms / templates. #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 60. Incorporated post / get methods on my blog so users can submit questions / thoughts. Form submissions trigger an email notifying me of the inquiry. #Python #100DaysOfCode

Day 59. Up leveled my blog using a bootstrap framework. Still getting more familiar with bootstrap but really appreciating how powerful it is in regards to web development. #Python #100DaysOfCode

Took a mini hiatus from #100DaysOfCode but I’m starting back up now. #Day58. Built a website using bootstrap, html, css. Very cool to see all the features come together. Excited to dive into databases and SQLite in the coming weeks! #100DaysOfCode #Python
