A nice article about 🇨🇦 Bert Brockhouse winning the Nobel Prize. One of the reasons I went to Mac to pursue a career in neutron scattering was because of this, and the people Bert attracted to @mcmasterphysics. I arrived at @McMasterU in 1996, two years after Bert’s prize.

New work from recent PhD graduate Dr. Hao He, using the power of @almaobs to resolve gas properties in the beautiful nearby merging Antennae galaxies

A late post to our recently accepted paper! We model the CO-to-H2 conversion factors for the Antennae. Our study shows that alphaCO is tightly related to GMC properties and can be traced by several GMC observables. To know more, check out it here: arxiv.org/abs/2401.16476
