The work my team and I do is challenging & Tennessee’s workers compensation laws are terrible, but when you treat people with dignity & respect, and handle every case the right way, it is immensely rewarding work. Very proud to be fighting #forthepeople here in Memphis!

The full @forthepeople TN WC team is excited to be at the @TN_WorkComp conference. We are looking forward to bringing injured workers’ concerns to the forefront of these conversations throughout the week.

A day in the life of a WC attorney.

Nothing cleanses the palate after a long day better than reading an opinion where this particular defense attorney lost *SIX TIMES* to one unrepresented employee. I wonder if Amazon ended up paying more in attorneys’ fees than actual claim value. s3.amazonaws.com/membercentralc…

Terrible tragedy for his family.

The legislature is about to devastate TN workers, who they’d already hung out to dry in 2014. If the state won’t hold employers responsible for providing safe work spaces, and now the courts cannot do so, you understand the consequence is UNSAFE WORK SPACES, right?

If your priorities include criminalizing: - chalk on a sidewalk - tents on public property - walking into the street With massive fines and felonies, AND Taking away workers’ & citizens’ ONLY recourse against negligent businesses with regard to #COVID19 THEN YEAH, CONGRATS.

Me, in the corner trying to remind my client with my body language about what we talked about in depo prep. My client, ignoring common sense and turning the corner into unnecessary commentary in response to a straightforward depo question:

Some of the worst injuries my clients have suffered have been in meat processing. Safety is paramount when your business is cutting up carcasses.

How do you measure a day? I’m never sure, but some days feel “more” than others. Today was one of those. 49 incoming/outgoing calls 200 incoming emails 110 outgoing emails 3 telephonic hearings with the court

When will people learn?

Even while we are scattered across the Mid-South, the Memphis @forthepeople Workers’ Compensation continues to collaborate and work hard to make sure our clients get the benefits they are owed.
