Worst part of Trump acquittal is how Big Lie lives on. GOP now weaponizing it to introduce wave of new voter suppression laws If Dems don't pass John Lewis Voting Rights Act & For the People Act next election could be stolen & next coup could succeed motherjones.com/mojo-wire/2021…

Those in charge would have you believe witnesses were called off “because there was no chance” of a vote of conviction. I would like to set the record straight: psychologically speaking, they were called off BECAUSE THERE WAS a chance. We can tell from the level of threats.

As an illustration of just how undemocratic the Senate is, the 57 Senators voting to convict represents nearly 70% of Americans. Yet, Senators representing just over 30% got their way. smh

I wonder if any of the members who booed me for denouncing white supremacy are the same ones I’m working to hold accountable for trying to overturn the election and inciting the insurrection.

Yes, it’s the 14th Amendment, and it’s why I’m introducing a resolution to investigate and expel the members who attempted to overturn the presidential election and incited a white supremacist coup attempt. If you agree, call your representative and ask them to cosponsor it.

Yes, remember that the United States Constitution says that “no Person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress” who “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against" the Constitution, “or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

This is an extremely important story that isn't getting the attention it deserves. After GSA initiated the presidential transition, I warned that there would still be new Trump sabotage to come. This is exactly what I was concerned about. Here's what's happening-- 1/

Feel like Trump trying to strip civil service protections from *88%* of employees of a major agency like OMB should be a bigger story

We’re always told that the only way to unite us is to overlook the criminality of our corrupt leaders and look forward not back, bc holding them accountable would somehow be too divisive. Weird how that works.

yep

You know what would actually unite this country? An end to elite criminal impunity. I'm serious. This is a unifying issue. (Except for, of course, the criminal elites.)
