me - a third shifter who had to work last night and has to work tonight
we get in this debate a lot with brass. instructors agree that cursing on general calls can seem unprofessional, unless you’re shootin’ the shit. we call this a “verbal stun” & have found it effective in high stress with heavy control talk i.e. “show me your fucking hands” 🤷🏻♂️
Should Cops be allowed to swear during extremely stressful calls, such as ordering an armed suspect to the ground?
