Considering 2.8% is below inflation, this is literally saying to NHS staff that the cost of maintaining the NHS doesn't fall on the general population, it falls on you. Your pay will be cut yet again so the public can have a health service. Nope, not acceptable.

NEW: Downing Street says there will be no extra money for NHS and teacher pay rises, and that any increases beyond the 2.8% already planned will have to come from cuts to existing budgets, setting up potential for strike action.

PLEASE BE AWARE our new ad hits hard, shedding light on the critical need to support the mental health of NHS frontline staff. We support around 9,000 people every single week, but we could do even more. Please share & donate. They are there for us, can you be there for them?

Just finished a shift In A&E. It was lovely. Appropriately staffed so we could cope with surges but meaning staff were well rested. Few patients attended as they were able to access the well resourced community services and so didn't need to come in for non emergencies.…

There are many things in the NHS Workforce Plan, but I just want to talk about one of them, because it makes no sense to me. Its about training medical students and I know something about that because I have been teaching them for 23 years and was in charge of a team for 22.
