Watch Out 👀 Mina’s ZK tech saw major improvements this week. Ecosystem member, @o1_labs doubled the speed of Mina’s SNARK called, Kimchi.
For those curious about Halo-type recursion compared to FRI-based: I benchmarked the plonky2 implementation and our kimchi SNARK on my machine and it’s about 11x faster with 18x larger proof size. So very impressive, but not yet quite 100x
Snappsnet initial testing has been conducted by ecosystem partner, @o1_labs, to test functionality & network load. After the team gathers more feedback & data from the community & the upcoming Snapps BootCamp, Snappsnet will open for broader participation in 2022.
