Weirdo saying things online.
What makes shorter windows more consumer friendly? Many are busy, and while they want to experience a movie at the theater, they may not have the opportunity to until later on.
Netflix's Ted Sarandos says Warner Bros. movies will remain in theaters and Netflix has no “opposition to movies in theaters.” “My pushback has been mostly in the fact of the long exclusive windows, which we don’t really think are that consumer friendly... I wouldn’t look at…
Actually, there is research in media studies demonstrating that larger screens and even movie theater auditoriums are experienced as more immersive.
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos says BARBIE and OPPENHEIMER would have been just as big on Netflix. “There’s no reason to believe that the movie itself is better in any size of screen for all people. My son’s an editor, he watched ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ on his phone.” via @nytimes
following accounts across the political spectrum so I never miss the stupid arguments that go viral on here
"go to hell" is basic. "i hope someone makes a contentious point you agree with but argues it so hilariously badly people can only dunk on it" is smart. it's common. it happens daily
If this essay were about a different topic, it still would've been worth 0/25. This isn't college level writing or argumentation and ignores the rubric and assigned reading. Framing the grade as politically biased is dishonest imo.
however bad you’re imagining this essay to be, it’s sooo much worse. cannot believe a college student wrong this. 0/25 seems somehow generous lmao
I overheard a student tell a friend that they shouldn't have to write a summary when AI could just do it. I am worried that the next gen will glady allow AI to think for them. They're being raised in a world where learning (esp. outside of ed) doesn't matter.
I promise, if you don't put your writing & thinking skills into practice, they will vanish like a puff of smoke. You really don't want to live in a world in which most people are incapable of forming a sentence. The effects of a billion shrinking brains will be catastrophic.
Long time Twitter lurker here. Made an anon account so I can begin sharing my weird thoughts into the Void.
