How developers spend their time during a typical work day: ๐ 60% time โ thinking ๐ค 30% time โ resolving git conflicts ๐ต 10% time โ coding ๐ค #codinglife #iOS
If youโre spending 30% of your time resolving conflicts there is seriously something wrong with you or your project.
So how many percent time for debugging
Is 10% time in coding includes googling syntax?
By 60% thinking do you mean watching tik tok?
No I mean staring at the screen without doing anything ๐
60% โ thinking+researching 20% โ debugging 10% โ testing 10% โ coding
22% - Can you hear me? 16% - Let me know when my screen is visible 38% - I'm too busy, ask them to do it 24% - Power nap + 5 eating breaks And coding before going to sleep.
Me: 60% time โ thinking ๐ค 20% time โ resolving git conflicts ๐ต 10% time โ coding ๐ค 10% time โ on Twitter while waiting for build ๐ฆ
Looks fairly accurateโฆ but I feel there needs to be a % or two for screaming silently into the voidโฆ
So my team would be 30% more productive if I fired all but 1 iOS devs?
Weird reading this.. thankfully I can't remember the last I had a git conflict. 100x easier when you are a solo dev ๐
In my case, I spend 10 to 20% of the time in meetings and answering to emails ๐ซ
Mine 60% - answer emails 30% - thinking 10% - resolving Git conflicts
10% thinking 50% searching for solutions to problems on stackoverflow 20% "devops" like stuff 10% coding 10% wasting time
There is a massive lack of โmeetings that could have been an emailโ on this list.
OK, it's a joke, but it surprises me how many devs think it's normal to have that many git conflicts.
And 98.8% time on Twitter
Instead of git conflicts i would say 30% of WHYYYYYYYY???
Git conflict could ruin your day mode.
Sometimes, I do add that 10% (coding) to thinking ๐ค....codeFreeDay!!
