A very important thread.
1/10 Over the past two months, I've spoken with dozens of Nagorno-Karabakh refugees living across Armenia, visiting them to understand their challenges. The Armenian government and foreign donors must address these issues to ensure successful integration into Armenian society. 🧵
A friend of mine says that Kocharyan used to falsify elections on election day, Serzh did it before the election day, and Pashinyan does it after the election day. This has already become a pattern when the ruling party loses elections and then ousts elected mayors afterward.

Importantly, there is nothing new about this fresh bout of anti-US hysteria in Azerbaijan. Aliyev has long since ended the presence of all major US orgs, like Radio Liberty, IRI, NDI, OSI etc. Baku is not an ally of the US. Supporting Azerbaijan is not in the US’ nat interest.

Conclusions of two major European think-tanks: @ecfr (ecfr.eu/article/after-…) & @EU_ISS (iss.europa.eu/content/after-…) are clear after the #EthnicCleansing in NK. - The Aliyev regime doesn't seek Peace - Assistance to #Armenia to expand its resilience and defense capabalities
Karabakh Armenians were supposed to integrate into this society.

Azerbaijan is upset that we're telling them to stop genociding the oldest Christian nation in the world.
I honestly don't know what Politico's editors have been smoking lately. It's beyond me how this sort of garbage can be published by any media outlet that has a modicum of self-respect. This is a deliberate choice to whitewash ethnic cleansing. politico.eu/article/azerba…

Mayor Eric Adams' 2021 campaign accepted $6,000 from three donors who serve on the board of a foundation backed by the Turkish president's son, campaign records show.
It’s shameful that US taxpayer $$ has been used to fund the persecution of Armenian Christians by Azerbaijan. I’m astounded that not a single presidential candidate has even acknowledged the atrocity. Blocking military aid to Azerbaijan is the right step. en.armradio.am/2023/11/16/us-…
It took nine months of siege, a short war, and the ethnic cleansing of 120K Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh. But the US Senate has finally voted to suspend American military aid to the regime of Azerbaijan.
Yet, these people will still receive invitations to events hosted by reputable think tanks, and foreign journalists will continue engaging with them.
Just another Azerbaijani regime-linked "think tank analyst" likening Armenians to dogs. Western think tanks who collaborate with people like this are a major part of the problem. Not sure it's possible to be more dehumanizing.
