Give your students what they need, not everything you think you should give them. This is all new and we need more time to plan, so find ways to save time in other areas (like grading). We can do this, just not the same ways we’ve always done it.
A good reminder that none of these “days off” are privileges, but rights that people fought for. We’ve always needed to protest for the basics we take for granted now. People took to the streets for the weekends and time limits that bosses are slowly eroding. Fight for rest.

dear educators, make sure you make boundaries at the start of the year. i use to just answer emails at all hours of the night because i was trying to be super man. won't be doing it this year. personal opinion. do what ya need to stay mentally okay for the year.

I’m sticking with the unions. We can quibble about the elements of our specific unions we don’t like, but for those of us in unions, there is no other body that fully represents meaningful pushback to higher admin, policy makers, and other entities like the union. We out here.
