People keep asking me how the strike is going; this sums it pretty well. What a disappointment. Then again, this is what I expected during a union sanctioned strike where the uaw is policing and suppressing any real disruption.

UCSC in a nutshell
This’s how racism is deeply ingrained in American institutions including universities. A university will make proclaim its commitment to diversity, declare a Day of Racial Healing, & still eliminate its Afri/African American Studies major while acting as if it’s all normal.
Im tired of the lengths we have to go to in academic writing to prove something is “missing” from history when it was clearly violently erased. Missing is passive. “Lost histories” - “forgotten histories” are passive. All denied histories.
