The @NatTrustCayman partnered with the students to learn about mangroves in Cayman. The children learned about the red, black, and white mangroves, threats to their survival, and their importance to our island. We can’t wait for our mangrove walk to explore more next week! 🌱❤️

Students and families participated in a Department of Environment sea turtle nest excavation. The @doecayman excavates sea turtle nests to collect data after eggs in a nest have finished hatching. Special thanks to the DoE for their partnership and conservation work. #cisinspires

Last year as part of our mangrove partnership, Sacha entered a global art contest with the Mangrove Action Project. He created a piece that illustrated why mangroves are important to him and his community. Sacha won the contest and is in the 2020 calendar! 🌱🌊 #cisinspires
