epic, the last time the Mariners got this far was 2001 when they won 114 games, a new Japanese player won ROY and al mvp, unfortunately for them they ran into a buzzsaw in the alcs by the name of the new york yankees and lost in 6 games,a rematch would’ve been great
sorry brain cramp, that year was so remarkable bc the Angels were 102-60 and were buried in the standings, that was an awesome alcs and then the ws after 9/11 is widely considered one of the best ws of all time, thank’s for the head’s up, beat Toronto, you guys are hot but gassed
Yes that was a great year no doubt. I'm convinced that 9/11 is what motivated New York to beat the Mariners and steal our momentum. And actually if I'm not mistaken it was the Oakland A's that had won 102 games.
