Multiple examples of how BBC Scotland undermines confidence in Scottish institutions, especially the NHS, by constantly presenting England as superior. This has been going on for years. Blatant colonial brainwashing disguised as news.
If Rachel Reeves increases the basic rate of income tax by 2p, the Scottish Govt will have to look at raising its own rates. Swinney may decide to raise the starter, basic and intermediate rate each by a penny. Below are the current rates for England, Wales & NI and Scotland.
🚨 NEW: Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy broke the Governance Code by not declaring that her pick for Independent Football Regulator Chair had donated to her leadership campaign Starmer: "The process followed was not entirely up to the standard expected"
Note how the new image has John Swinney in a more threatening pose. Every wee trick in the book. Looks like the sock-puppet reporter tasked with selling this piece of propaganda to the public is Philip Sim.
You clearly have never watched BBC Scotland.
BBC coverage of Labour is really quite sinister now. Relentless negativity and criticism.
BBC Scotland has turned the Rachel Reeves tax hike manifesto U-turn into an SNPBad story. That's how easy it is to completely reverse a news narrative. Made all the easier if you first shield Anas Sarwar from the UK Labour U-turn.
Nothing of note at FMQ's. Findlay goes with tax and Sarwar goes with the NHS. Both comfort zones for them. Essentially boilerplate.
Every problem that emerges in England is eventually projected onto Scotland by the media. Riots, anti-migrant racism, NHS failures. If it's an issue there it has to be made into an issue here. It won't be long before prisoners released by mistake becomes a Scottish issue too.
The Scottish Govt is to hold an investigation into maternity services. Lest we forget, there is no evidence to suggest things are anywhere near as bad as the scandalous situation south of the border that has prompted criminal investigations after hundreds of mother & baby deaths.
Here is a snapshot of the situation in the English NHS this last two weeks. Something Anas Sarwar may wish to reflect on should he decide to politicise the Scottish NHS and claim Labour has the answers.
The Radio BritNat phone-in has covered prisoner early release FOUR TIMES. It returns to the same issues again and again and again and airs the same attacks on the SNP again and again and again. No wonder folk are switching off.
The Radio BritNat phone-in about early release ... again. Two points about this intro. 1. The Scottish Govt didn't approve the measure, the Scottish parliament did. 2. Exactly the same measure has been used, and is being proposed again by the UK Labour Govt.
Leadership at an English NHS Trust has been rated inadequate after staff morale was found to be among the lowest in the country. Inspectors found persistent safety failures and a poor behavioural culture.
We described the coverage of the NHS Fife trans tribunal as 'tawdry'. The Darlington NHS trans tribunal is equally tawdry. Given the UK Supreme Court ruling, what's the purpose of either? The English tribunal is mercifully free of the ugly political circus we saw in Scotland.
An NHS centre in Nottingham had its grand opening today but can't accept patients because it failed water quality checks. It coincides with a Critical Incident in the same region. The two BBC reporters casually trivialise the Critical Incident and the building failure. Can you…
The Critical Incident declared by two hospitals in Nottingham has been linked to a new Electronic Patient Record system. Users experienced slow performance on Monday and Tuesday and had to resort to using pen and paper to record patient details. archive.is/tbsAi

The British Medical Association has rejected a fresh offer from the government to end the long-running dispute with resident doctors in England. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
We don't think much of the UK Labour Govt's early release scheme.
🔴 EXCLUSIVE: The BBC is accused of editing a Trump speech to make him seem to back the Capitol riot. A whistleblower memo says Panorama “completely misled” viewers by cutting key lines Watch @gordonrayner’s full breakdown ⬇️
BBC Scotland has an article today criticising the cost of flood prevention in Hawick. It coincides with major flooding in Wales with people evacuated from their homes in the early hours.
It's quite amazing how BBC Scotland can suddenly pivot and reverse a narrative it's been running for five years the moment John Swinney agrees to speak to the family. We all know if Swinney had declined to meet the family it would be *them* being platformed by the BBC.
