I heard or read this quote somewhere -- The person with the best story wins. Thus any hope we have of changing "the system" depends on our ability to tell compelling stories. #MyDataStory

Recently came across Randy Olson's story-circle program and a couple of his books -- Houston, We have a Narrative and Don't Be Such a Scientist. Great reads with lots of wonderful information: storycirclestraining.com/about/

Just finished reading Brian Overland's Python without Fear. Incredibly clear introduction to Python. Well worth the time. Check out his website at: brianoverland.com #MyDataStory

We're also seeking UF students to join the MyDataStory student advisory board, led by Delaney Gomen. #MyDataStory

We've retooled our data story contest and have a new website with information and resources for the competition: datagatorcontest.github.io/portfolio/

Our first MyDataStory competition meetup will be this coming Wednesday, November 14th, from 4 to 6 pm at the University of Florida's Informatics Institute. Learn how to tell your data story from fellow students who've told theirs.
