Stop calling the coronavirus the Chinese Virus. You’re trying to make this into an acceptable term for all Americans to use by relentlessly tweeting about it in defiance of so many Asian Americans like me who are telling you to please stop out of concern for our safety.
Your response to the virus was late. You have lied and minimized. Your conduct has put people in danger and may result in deaths. Millions will die. You are a menace to the world. Resign or lose.
There it is. I’ve been deathly afraid of this exact moment where Trump turns to racism and xenophobia and calls COVID-19 the “Chinese Virus.” We are in deep trouble as a nation now that President of the United States makes the conscious decision to go down this dark path of hate.
