Modern artificial intelligence may be one of the most consequential technologies humanity has ever seen. The big question? How will these consequences unfold.

There’s one thing you’ll never take away from me—my love for coffee. It’s my favorite product in the world and, to me, one of the most brilliant business ideas in history.

As the final day of the #NFL regular season unfolds, it’s a perfect reminder of the “next man up” mentality that football embodies. When a key player goes down, someone else steps in—no excuses, no hesitation. I believe this principle resonates in the business world too.

Happy New Years! Hope everyone crushes 2025 🔥🔥

As the year ends, reflect: Am I satisfied with my accomplishments? Honest self-talk is key. We often regret missed chances more than those we took.

Accepting uncertainty is tough but vital. Rather than seeking perfection, you have to welcome what comes. Embracing uncertainty turns anxiety into adaptability. Remember that we can't control outcomes, only our responses.

Especially during the holidays, it's important to be fully present—both at home and at work. When I’m with my family, I focus on them, knowing that one day my kids will be off spending their holidays with friends, and these moments together will be cherished memories.

Everyone has a superpower—something unique that sets them apart. Mine is efficiency; I manage heavy workloads and stay focused, driving progress in high-pressure projects. What’s your superpower?

I stress kindness to my students all the time. Be kind: "Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for a kindness" Many successful business people are genuinely empathetic nice people. It's easy to be an asshole, but hard to be kind - be kind!

TIL Boxing Day started as a day to gift servants who worked on Christmas. It's also St. Stephen Day, a Christian martyr who was known for helping the poor. It's not just about shopping - it's about thinking of others.

I track M&A deals with searchers in the search fund community. I've noticed a lot of M&A fails because of cultural fit. Aligning company values can make or break business transitions. Don't underestimate the power of company culture. The future state depends on it.

Is the grind in tech startups dead? Back in the 2010s, it used to be normal to hear about ramen noodles and people sleeping under their desks. Has the industry become soft? Or is it a sign of progress and maturity, where work-life balance takes precedence over hustle culture?

One critical aspect often overlooked is the human element in dealmaking. Before diving into any big deal, I try to break bread with the other side (lunch, dinner, etc.). I believe human connection facilitates smoother partnerships and better avenues for future negotiation.

AI is unlocking a new era for vertical SaaS. One important result: AI is increasing VSaaS revenue per customer, by enabling vertical SaaS companies to take on tasks previously too complex for software. And it's just the beginning. @astrange and @dacostajam on the "third wave"…

Long ago, someone told me... “People like to see good people succeed. So to increase your chances, be a good person.” I still use this advice every day.

I'm a firm believer that young professionals should broaden your horizons by travelling more. Travel transforms not just your perspective but your life.
