Wow! Excited to see that companies will no longer be using the same password to secure their AWS accounts as their CTO previously used to do their online shopping.
I am heading up the 10th annual @SeaGL Program Committee this year, and I'm looking to put together a great committee filled with folks from diverse backgrounds. If you've given a talk at a conference before and are interested in helping out, I want you! DM / [email protected].
Props to whoever at Google who made developers.google.com/workspace/solu… . Every year or so, I have need for a mail merge solution, but it has always felt very hackish and never quite worked well. While messing with scripts isn't necessarily "easy", it worked well! Will definitely use again.
Trying to buy a giant teddy bear? Disappointed Costco claims their 93" bear is unavailable? giantteddy.com/enormous-7-foo… has got you covered!
A couple of years ago, Costco began selling giant 93-inch teddy bears in their stores. To put this in perspective, a standard king size bed is only 80 inches long.
Who would you like to see Keynote the virtual @SeaGL 2021 conference? Nominate them at docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI… . No prior keynote experience is required; if they have a good and on-topic message to share, we want to know about them. Nominations will be open until at least May 24.
.@seagl 2021 is a go (bit.ly/32reeRj)! @wholemilk and I are co-chairing the Program Committee and looking for volunteers. You should ideally have some prior talk experience, but no organizing experience is required. DM/Email ([email protected]) if interested.
Really sad to see that @socallinuxexpo, one of my favorite conferences, will not be taking place this year (but I completely respect this decision). Let the countdown to 2022 begin.
Don't know why I never thought to do this before, but showing the --version output when giving a presentation or writing documentation is super useful, especially when people try to refer back to it months or years in the future.
I've started taking advantage of Twitter Lists and was disappointed to see that you can't nest them like G+ Circles. Fortunately, thanks to @ptyng's Twitter @HashiCorp Terraform Provider, I can get this functionality and manage my lists as code in a VCS!
I've never really used the Siri button on my Mac before, but I'm finding it really convenient for controlling my smart devices with Siri->HomeKit->Home Assistant
