I'm late on this but the @dhh Lex Fridman episode is one of the best interviews I've listened to in a long time. Highly recommend it to any programmers.

some things i agree with @dhh, including Apple and big cloud has lost their ways. But on programming and frameworks, his gem: > I don't care about autocomplete. I chisel my code with my bare hands. I don't care about typing and its benefits and there he's always been wrong and…

You're not late. I'm only 4h52 minutes in.

Most Based interview related to programming this year

@grok summarize the interview for me please

To anyone* 😅

Agreed. Took me like 2 weeks listening on my drive to work. very entertaining episode throughout

I felt it when he said something like web devlopers = CRUD monkeys 💔🥀

Not just programmers

Don't make me rewatch it

I listened for pure fun :)

I was interviewing for an opening at 37 signals earlier in the summer and watched many dhh’s ReWork podcasts. Still digesting all the wisdom!

DHHs the type of guy to make you wanna learn RoR cuz he's so cool

He praises Ruby (rails) too much without mentioning the ugly reality of Ruby (rails) in production or I missed that part. But that’s when I stopped listening because it became unbearable.

It really is! I just finished it this week.

Enjoyed the podcast so much… it’s a great episode.

Maybe TS programmers won't like it so much 😂

Alright neet. By the way, how are you brother. Hope you're doing very good

No clue who that is but I’ll tune it

He does a fantastic job putting ruby into perspective! I want to try it out myself! And also great philosophy on code definitely worth pondering on, but I still feel like he puts too much faith in humanity for coding. My favorite example is _exhaustive_ match statements in rust!!

I started it but Ill go back and finish

Indeed, currently on my 3rd run. I always pick something new up. A gift that keeps on giving

@dhh is a retard and lex is a coward
