It’s not even lowering the bar, it’s raising the bar on random bullshit like extra curriculars or how much you can appeal to whatever sensibilities of the admissions person with your essay

I think the tests are awful and some excel but don't test well on standardized tests. But they need a replacement not just dropped and a lowering of the bar to zero.
