okay but you want fan engagement right? that isn't always pretty, sometimes it's asking questions - and that (should be) absolutely fine.
There is always a response when a team (in any sport) is announced. I concentrate on the fact that the coach/manager who is working with the athletes day in & day out has the most accurate insight & therefore informed decision . & their reasoning doesn’t always have to be shared.

I can’t think of any other sport where someone who hasn’t played a match for over a year gets straight back into their national side without playing a domestic league game. That’s just bizarre!
